Microsoft 2024 State of the Partner Ecosystem

AI is the defining technology of our time. Microsoft Azure partners are seeing remarkable growth due to AI's impactful influence. A recent report by Microsoft sheds light on the vast opportunities that AI offers to partners in the Azure community, leading them toward unprecedented success and advancement.

The State of Partner Ecosystem report, released by Microsoft, indicates that partners who embrace AI technologies are experiencing significant growth. This highlights the importance of the new Azure OpenAI Service and an expanding portfolio of Copilot offerings that drive innovation, productivity, and competitive advantages. With AI solutions providing billions of intelligent experiences daily, Microsoft Azure partners are well-positioned to leverage the vast opportunities presented by AI.

Capitalizing on AI Opportunities

According to the report findings, more than 13,000 Microsoft partners are developing solutions using Microsoft Azure AI and catering to more than 53,000 customers solely with generative AI capabilities. The Microsoft partner network is responding to this demand with a substantial, nearly 250 percent increase in the number of partners transacting with generative AI over the past eight months.

When you add that all up, it signals a year of remarkable advances and progress for partners utilizing Microsoft Azure AI to enrich their offerings and broaden their market presence and customer base.

Program Updates, New Designations, and Certifications

Microsoft introduced substantial improvements to its Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to bolster the AI community. These enhancements include an array of AI training resources, updated benefits packages with product enhancements, and innovative designations that enable partners to showcase their AI proficiency.

A notable reveal was the introduction of new "solutions partner with certified software" designations spanning solution areas like Azure and Security as well as specific sectors such as health care AI and manufacturing AI. Presently, there are 49 certified solutions, with an additional 27 in the pipeline.

Enhanced Partner Training with Generative AI

Microsoft also disclosed initiatives focused on enhancing partner skills in AI, such as the global Microsoft AI Partner Training Roadshow. Additionally, new workshops will concentrate on Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot for Microsoft 365.

The company outlined the availability of various AI products, including the launch of Microsoft Copilot for Security across all sales channels after a successful partner preview at Inspire last year.

By harnessing AI's incredible potential, Microsoft Azure partners can play a key role in shaping the future of technology, providing significant value to customers and elevating their businesses to greater levels of achievement. The path toward growth driven by AI is just starting.
